Dr. John R. Bayless - President and Chief Scientist

Dr. Bayless received his Ph.D. degree in Plasma Physics from Princeton University. He has made contributions at HRL Laboratories, the DoD Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA – manager for the Charged and Neutral Particle Beam Program), TRW, Pulse Sciences, Inc., the John R. Bayless Co., and First Point Scientific, Inc. He has extensive experience in areas including: (1) neutron generators; (2) high energy electron guns; (3) linear induction accelerators; (4) x-ray and neutron based geological logging instruments; (5) pulsed power; (6) high voltage systems; and (7) plasma technology for application in ion implantation and pollution control. His experience ranges from concept definition, through research and development, to commercialization of these technologies. Dr. Bayless holds seven patents and has over 40 publications.
