Dr. Craig Burkhart - Senior Scientist

Dr. Burkhart received his Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of New Mexico. He is a founding member of the First Point Scientific staff and has also made contributions at the John R. Bayless Co. and Pulse Sciences, Inc. Dr. Burkhart has an extensive background in computational and experimental physics as well as in nuclear, mechanical and electrical engineering. He has worked extensively in fields including pulsed power, charged particle acceleration and plasma physics where his activities have ranged from concept definition through commercialization. His current research focus is on developing a new class of pulse power equipment based on arrays of solid-state elements. Dr. Burkhart holds one patent and has over 20 publications.
